Answer.
Our earth was formed about 4.6 billion years ago. The nature of the earth's surface initially was very much different from the present.
The following was the nature of the earth's surface initially:
- Earth's surface was hot and volcanic activities were prevalent.
- Earth's surface was rocky and soil was absent.
- Earth's surface was barren and has no sign of a living organism.
- Earth's atmosphere was thin and mainly comprised of hydrogen and helium gases.
