Answer.
As on November 2022, there are 28 states and eight ( 8) Union Territories of India. The name of eight Union Territories of India are listed below:
- Ladakh
- Jammu and Kashmir
- Delhi
- Chandigarh
- Daman-Diu and Dadra-Nagar-Haveli
- Puducherry
- Lakshadweep
- Andaman and Nicobar islands
In terms of geographical areas, Ladakh is the largest union territory whereas Lakshadweep is the smallest union territory.
In terms of Population, Delhi is the largest and Lakshadweep is the smallest union territory of India.
