The industry is set up in those locations which have the least cost of production and has market accessibility to get maximum profit.
The following are the main factors that influence the location of industries-
- Availability of raw material
- Land
- Water
- Power (Electricity)
- Transport
- Labour
- Capital
- Market
- Government incentives like subsidized power and lower transportation cost.
So industries are situated where some or all of the above factors are easily available.
