Social influence and persuasion had contributed much to controlling the spread of Corona Virus in India. The following are some Social influence and persuasion techniques, that were used to encourage people to adopt healthy practices in controlling the spread of Corona Virus in India;

Analogy method; Analogy is a social influence and persuasion method that persuade people to adopt similar behaviors. When public servants and other leaders wore masks and make social distances, this behavior encouraged others to follow the same.

Medical expert advice; People believe more in the advice of medical experts and it helps the building of trust and credibility. The advice of medical experts was highlighted through television and social networks.

Creating a sense of urgency; Government has highlighted the urgency to follow the covid protocol to the public as there is a limited stock of medical equipment and resources; it helped to persuade to people follow the safety protocol.

Obedience method; Authorities like the police have ordered the public to avoid going out, which helped in controlling the spread of Corona Virus.

Sense of collective responsibility; Authorities encouraged the public to follow the collective responsibilities to protect themselves and others from the virus.
