Answer.

Digital rights are also known as internet rights or online rights. This right provides individuals to access the digital sphere and participate in the digital world. Digital rights also mean the right to privacy and data protection.

Digital rights are aims to provide freedom of expression, access to information, learn digital technologies, and protect individual privacy. When governments block websites or any social networks, it comes under a violation of digital rights as it prevents people to access the information and violates the freedom of expression and information.


The following are the objectives of digital rights -


Freedom of expression: 

Digital rights provide the right to express opinions, ideas, and beliefs without undue censorship or restriction. It ensures that individuals can participate in online discussions, share information, and engage in open dialogue without fear of suppression.

 

Act as the capital of economic growth:

Digital rights advocate for universal access to information and knowledge. Information is a new asset and money for the new world. Their digital right is necessary to provide equal opportunities for the development of individuals and society.


Digital Literacy, education, and Empowerment: 

The objective of digital rights is to promote digital literacy and empower individuals. This includes enhancing digital skills through education. This enables people to make informed decisions.


Openness and Innovation: 

Digital rights aim to foster an open and innovative digital environment as they support principles such as open-source software and open access to knowledge.


Privacy Protection: 

Security of personal data also comes under digital rights. One of the primary objectives of digital rights is to safeguard individuals' privacy in the digital world. This involves protecting personal information, ensuring control over one’s own data, and preventing unauthorized surveillance or monitoring by the government. 

The objectives of digital rights help to protect and promote individual freedoms, human rights, and democratic principles in the digital age.
