( Chapter 5: Major Domains of the Earth, Class 6- The Earth: Our Habitat ( GEOGRAPHY), SOCIAL SCIENCE)

Answer.

Four major domains of the earth are Lithosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, and Biosphere.

Lithosphere:

The solid portion of the earth in which we live is called the Lithosphere. Land, soil, mountain, and plateau are part of the lithosphere. Lithosphere also includes continents and the ocean floor.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere is the layer of gases that surrounds the Earth. It's where weather and climate events occur. It is comprised of various gases like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.

Hydrosphere:

Hydrosphere encompasses all the water on Earth, including oceans, rivers, lakes, groundwater, and even water vapor in the atmosphere.

Biosphere:

The biosphere is a narrow zone where water, land, and air are found together and contain all forms of life.

Biosphere refers to all living organisms on Earth and their interactions with each other and their environments. It includes ecosystems, plants, animals, and microorganisms.
