Shalabhoga:  Lands for the maintenance of a school.

Devadana, Tirunamattukheni:  Land gifted to the temple.

Pallichchhandam:  Land donated to Jainism.



About Chola Empire:

The Chola empire had a very strong navy.

Tanjore was the capital of the Chola empire.

Rajendra Chola, the son of Rajaraja Chola I assumed the title of "Gangaikondachola" which means "the Chola who conquered the Ganga.

Brihadeshwara Temple of Thanjavur was built by Chola emperor Rajaraja I between 1003 and 1010 CE. This temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples".

The administrative division of the Chola kingdom is as follows:

Chola Kingdom > Mandalam > Vallanadus ( or Nadus) >  Ur ( Village)
