Schools are an important place for the personality development of children and it is the place where the future of the country is shaped. That is why Uttar Pradesh's government started the "Operation Kayakalp" program in 2018 to increase the learning facilities in government-run primary and secondary schools.
Basics objectives of "Operation Kayakalp":
It aims to convert the government's primary and secondary schools into smart schools ( model schools) and make at par with private schools.
It aims to improve educational facilities through smart classrooms, computer laboratories, libraries, clean toilets, playgrounds, etc.
The outcome of "Operation Kayakalp":
Due to "Operation Kayakalp", about 60 lakh new students have been admitted to Basic Education Council Schools in the last six years.
Thousands of schools in Uttar Pradesh have changed in terms of facilities including boundary walls, parks, libraries, separate toilets for girls and boys, etc.
