Topography, Landforms, and landscape in geography



What is Topography? (तलरूप)

The topography is the study of the earth's surface to find out relief, elevation, latitude, longitude, shape, and features. Topography terms used to describe the details study of the earth's surface. Topography can be both natural and artificial.
Examples:
  •  In the mountain topography, the study factor includes height, slope, steep, the direction of the slope.
  •  In the soil topography, the study factor includes soil type, water holdings nature, chemical properties, etc. 

 The topography factor also called indirect factor as it influences the growth of an organism and affects the local climate.

What is Landform? (स्थालाकृति)

Small to medium Parcel of Earth's surface is called Landforms. It has a three-dimension structure.

Some major landforms are:

  • Mountain
  • Hills
  • Plateau
  • Plain
Some Minor Landforms are:
  • Valley
  • basin 


What is Landscape(भू-दृश्य)?

Several related landforms together make the landscape. It is a visible area of land. The landscape area includes natural and artificial topography.
Some examples are:
  • City landscape: It includes hills, mountains, buildings, rivers, roads, highways, parks, etc.
  • Polar region landscape
  • Cultural landscape
  • Desert Landscape
