 How does a planet differ from a star?
The following are the differences between planet and star:

  • Star has its own light and heat whereas the planet does not have its own light and heat. 
  • Planet gets lights and heat from stars whereas stars emit large amounts of light and heat.
  • Star is larger in size as compared to stars.
  • Star twinkle whereas planets do not twinkle
  • Star is made up of lighter material such as hydrogen, helium whereas planet is made up of heavier materials such as oxygen, iron, aluminum 
  • Star can be seen from a very large distance whereas Planet can not be seen from a larger distance.
