(c) What are the climatic conditions of the Ladakh desert?

Answer:

  • Ladakh desert is the type of cold desert characterized by very low temperature and rainfall.
  • The day temperature in the summer month is just above zero degrees centigrade. and night temperature is approx -30 degrees.
  • In the winter season, the temperature goes below -40 degrees.
  • Annual rainfall is about 10 cm per year.


(d) What mainly attracts tourists to Ladakh?
