Answer.
Rubber is a non-food crop and it is grown in equatorial climates hence it is called the equatorial crop.
For proper growth of rubber crops, a humid climate is required in which there should be more than 200 cm of rainfall in a year and the average temperature should be more than 25-degree centigrade.
In India, rubber is grown mainly in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, and the Garo Hills of Meghalaya.
