 Question.

How do you differentiate between natural vegetation and planted vegetation?

(Chapter 5 Natural Vegetation, Class 11 NCERT geography "India Physical Environment")

Answer.

Following are the differences between natural vegetation and planted vegetation:

Natural vegetations are those plants that grow naturally without human supervision whereas planted vegetations are those plants that are planted by humans and grow under human supervision.

Natural vegetation is well-adjusted to its local climate and available soil, so they do not require human care to survive, while planted vegetation is not well-adjusted to the local climate and soil, so it requires human care need to survive.

Examples of natural vegetation are rain forests in the Western Ghats, temperate forests in the Himalayan region, mangroves in the delta region, cactus in the desert region of Rajasthan while examples of planted vegetation are tomatoes, bananas, and flowering plants in the garden.
