Answer.

Narmada and Tapi are two peninsular rivers that flow through troughs. Both rivers form estuary at their mouths before entering the sea in the Arabian Sea.

About Narmada River:

The Narmada River originates from the Amarkantak hills in Madhya Pradesh. The Narmada River flows through a rift valley that lies between the Vindhya and Satpura ranges. The Narmada river basin covers parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The total length of the Narmada River is about 1312 km.

About Tapi River:

The Tapi River originates in the Satpura range in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. The Tapi River flows through a rift valley that lies between the Satpura range and the Tapi range.

The basin of the Tapi River covers parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

The total length of the Tapi river is about 724 km.
