Objectivity means taking decisions based on merit and free from biased judgments whereas dedication means commitment and dedication toward one's services. Today, objectivity and dedication in public services are the need of the hour due to the following reasons-
It ensures accountability: Objectivity and dedication protect the civil services from any biased decisions. It provides public services to all the needy without any bias and helps in the effective and efficient implementation of government policies.
It promotes transparency: Objectivity and dedication in public servants help them prevent corruption and ensure their work is more transparent.
It helps in building trust: Objectivity [unbiased judgment] and dedication [commitment to public services] make civil servants trustworthy and reliable which helps in increasing public confidence in the government.
It helps in achieving the goal: The objectivity and dedication values of civil servants help them in achieving the objectives of policies and programs on time.
