( Chapter 7: Our Country – India, Class 6- The Earth: Our Habitat ( GEOGRAPHY), SOCIAL SCIENCE)

Answer.

Sunderban delta is formed by sediment deposits of the Ganga and Brahmaputra rivers. It is the world's largest delta.  This delta is located in the southern part of Bangladesh and a small portion of eastern India, primarily in the Indian state of West Bengal.

The Sundarbans Delta is known for its vast mangrove forests and is home to the Bengal tiger. Sundary trees are important mangrove trees from which the name Sundarban Delta is derived.
