043. Jayesh and Mohan started a business by investing INR 28,000 and INR 35000, respectively. At the end of the year, Mohan received INR 6250 as his share of the profit. The total profit in the business is:

Answer. (3) 11250

Investment Ratio:

Jayesh : Mohan = 28000 : 35000 = 4 : 5

Mohan’s share = ₹6250 = 5 parts

1 part = 6250 ÷ 5 = 1250

Total profit = (4+5) × 1250 = ₹11250


044. In a 20 kg mixture of yellow pulse and black pulse, there is 4 kg of black pulse. The ratio of black pulse and yellow pulse in the mixture is:

Total mixture = 20 kg

Black pulse = 4 kg

Yellow pulse = 20 − 4 = 16 kg

1/8 = 0.125
