What was the location of the Indian landmass during the formation of the Deccan Traps?

Answer:

About 200 million years ago when Pangaea broke, the Indian plate is supposed to have started her northward journey towards Eurasia. During the movement and around 60 million years ago, the formation of Deccan traps started by the outpouring of lava. During that time, the Indian landmass was close to the equator.
