Guru Shikhar (गुरु शिखर ):

  • Guru Shikhar is the highest point of the Aravali range and it is located in Rajasthan.
  • Guru Dattatreya temple is located at Guru Shikhar.
  • It is about 15 km north of Mount Abu. 

Bhor Ghat ( भोर घाट ):

  • Bhor Ghat is a mountain passage of western Ghats.
  • It is located in Maharashtra.
  • It is also a historical site and the famous Battle of Bhor Ghat happened between Maratha and the British in 1781.

Shravanabelagola (श्रावणबेलगोला ):

  • Shravanabelagola is the most-famous Jain pilgrimage in South India.  
  • The world's tallest monolithic stone statue (of Bahubali ) of a single granite block is located in Shravanabelagola.
  • It is located in Hassan district in Karnataka.


Kalibangan (कालीबंगन):

  • Kalibangal is a Harappan site that is located in Rajasthan.
  • It is located on the bank of the Ghaggar river.
  • Remains of Fire altars and plowed fields of Harappan and pre-Harappan period were discovered in Kalibangan.


Ganga Sagar (गंगा सागर):

  • Ganga Sagar is a village ( and island) in South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.
  • It is a site of Hindu pilgrimage. and famous Kumbh Mela.
  • Hundreds of thousands of people take bath each year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti as it is the meeting area of Ganga and Bay of Bengal.
