Let us read
" Anandi’s Rainbow" ( आनंदी का इंद्रधनुष):
It was raining outside.
Anandi was fast asleep , dreaming of rainbows.
She woke up to look out of her window.
There was a huge, bright rainbow across a clear blue sky.
अर्थ :
बाहर बारिश हो रही थी।
आनंदी गहरी नींद में सोई हुई थी और इंद्रधनुष के सपने देख रही थी।
वह जागी और खिड़की से बाहर देखा।
आसमान में एक बहुत बड़ा और चमकदार इंद्रधनुष दिखाई दे रहा था, जो नीले साफ़ आसमान में फैला हुआ था।
Anandi ran out to the garden with Milli, her favourite cat.
Anandi loved to draw and paint.
Today, she wanted to paint the flowers of her garden with the colours of the rainbow.
अर्थ :
आनंदी तुरंत अपने बगीचे में दौड़कर चली गई, अपनी प्यारी बिल्ली मिली के साथ।
उसे चित्र बनाना और रंग भरना बहुत पसंद था।
आज उसने सोचा कि वह अपने बगीचे के फूलों को इंद्रधनुष के रंगों से रंगेगी।
She coloured one flower with violet, and another with the indigo of the
rainbow. One with the blue and leaves with the green….
One with orange….
One with red….
But she left the yellow so that the Sun may look bright and gay.
अर्थ :
उसने एक फूल को बैंगनी (Violet) रंग दिया,
दूसरे को जामुनी (Indigo),
एक को नीला (Blue), और पत्तों को हरा (Green) रंग दिया।
फिर उसने एक फूल को नारंगी (Orange) और दूसरे को लाल (Red) रंग दिया।
लेकिन पीले (Yellow) रंग को उसने छोड़ा, ताकि सूरज चमकीला और खुश दिखे।
And lo! There were beautiful flowers all over the garden. The Sun was up there shining in its yellow glory.
After giving colours to the flowers and the Sun, the rainbow was gone……
अर्थ :
और देखो!
पूरा बगीचा खूबसूरत रंग-बिरंगे फूलों से भर गया।
ऊपर आसमान में सूरज अपनी पीली रोशनी में चमक रहा था।
जब आनंदी ने फूलों और सूरज को अपने सारे रंग दे दिए,
तो इंद्रधनुष धीरे-धीरे गायब हो गया ।

2. When did you see it?
Answer.
I saw it in the evening after the rain.
3. Where did you see it?
Answer.
I saw it in the sky above my house.
4. What is the colour of the sky during sunrise and sunset?
Answer.
The sky looks orange, pink, and red during sunrise and sunset.

1. Go outside and look at the sky.
2. Do you see the clouds?
3. What shapes do you see in the clouds?
4. Draw what you see in the clouds.
Answer.
Yes, I see the clouds in the sky. They are in various shapes, such as an elephant, a god, a sheep, and hair, among others.
2. Watch the sky at sunrise, sunset, and at night. Share your experience with the class.
Answer.
I watched the sky at sunrise, sunset, and at night.
In the morning, the sky looked orange and pink when the sun was rising.
In the evening, the sky turned red and golden at sunset.
At night, the sky was dark and full of shining stars and the moon.
It looked very beautiful!
